Set adjacent to the harbour bridge in Sydney’s Kirribilli, Mathieson Architects treated the building envelope with a patinated copper cladding and locally sourced ‘convict pecked’ Sydney sandstone to reflect the historic context of the site.
Interior material expression includes honed Portugese limestone floors, pietra grey marble, and dark joinery. Mode Trimless downlighters ensure that ceiling planes are clean, while black facades function as an expressed detail and for a link to the surrounding materiality. Mono 060 Surface downlighters deliver a crisp modern aesthetic in a compact form factor.
